About Us

Since 2010 Takao-san English Volunteer Guide Club (TENGU*) has been offering a Free English Guided Tour to visitors from overseas to Mt. Takao.

TENGU members have rich, extensive knowledge about Mt. Takao and great enthusiasm to introduce the attractiveness of our beloved mountain to our guests for Free.

We strongly hope that our activities should be of some help to the promotion of cultural exchange with other countries to deepen understanding of Japan and promoting international friendship and goodwill at the private level.

We look forward to seeing you at the foot of Mt. Takao!

*In Japan, TENGU refers to an imaginary creature that is believed to live in a sacred mountain acting as a messenger of the mountain god.  TENGU is regarded as another symbol of Mt. Takao.
